Este trabajo aborda el tratamiento psicoterapéutico de una paciente durante un embarazo fruto de técnicas de reproducción asistida. que acontece luego de una pérdida gestacional en el tercer trimestre. La particularidad del caso está dada por la simultaneidad de procesos: por un lado, de duelo por la pérdida de un hijo en gestación; por otro lado, la dificultad que supone la libidinización del nuevo hijo en el contexto del duelo anterior no resuelto. El trabajo psicoterapéutico se encamina hacia la verbalización, historización y elaboración del primer proceso para, después, poder dar lugar al acogimiento emocional de un nuevo hijo. Así mismo se reflexiona sobre la función paterna en este tipo de situaciones, particularmente en su aspecto contenedor, facilitador y de sostén de una madre en duelo.

This paper deals with the psychotherapeutic treatment of a patient during a pregnancy resulting from assisted reproduction techniques after a gestational loss in the third trimester. The particularity of the case is given by the simultaneity of processes: on the one hand, mourning for the loss of a child in gestation; on the other hand, the difficulty of libidinisation of the new child in the context of the previous unresolved mourning. The psychotherapeutic work is directed towards the verbalisation, historicisation and elaboration of the first process in order to then be able to give way to the emotional acceptance of a new child. The role of the father in this type of situation is also reflected upon, particularly in his role as a container, facilitator and supporter of a bereaved mother.
