  • Resumen
    • Quiner's rejection of the reference theory of meaning is rebutted. It is grounded on the rejection of the contradictoriness of the world (RC), a rejection wholly unjustified from the viewpoint of paraconsistent logic. Likewise, Quine's concept of observation sentences relies on RC, too, which also shows the notion, as Quine articulates it, to be flawed. Yet, the paper ends by also refuting Hanson's point, against the Quinean notion, viz. that differences of observational reports by two observers in the face of the same stinulation are evidence of a difference between the respective theories of the reporters; Hanson's contention is also based on RC, and so unwarranted.
