    The theme of this article is the use of causal connectors, focusing on the logical relationship of cause and effect in relation to other discursive-inferential relations such as explanatory, conditional and final or resultive. The primary objective is to observe the syntactic and semantic-pragmatic functions of the cohesive elements present in the textual construction, whose decoding is essential to understand the argumentative intention of the enunciators. Based on a theoretical apparatus that encompasses study Based on a theoretical apparatus that encompasses studies of the text as discourse and that allows us to understand the discourse-argumentation interface, a reflexive view of grammar is presented, through the analysis of real statements of written production. Constructions in genres such as cartoons and comic strips will be analyzed, differently of traditional approaches of the School, which prioritize the recognition of metalanguage and prescription. It is hoped that the reflections made and the proposed analyzes can contribute to a more conscious teaching of reading and interpretation that develops students' argumentative and communicative skills, in various textual genres.

    Este artigo tem por temática o emprego de conectores da causalidade, com o enfoque na relação lógica de causa e efeito face outras relações discursivo-inferenciais como as explicativas, condicionais e finais ou resultativas. O objetivo primordial é observar as funções sintática e semântico-pragmática dos elementos coesivos presentes na construção textual, cuja descodificação é essencial para se compreender a intenção argumentativa dos enunciadores. Com base em um aparato teórico que engloba estudos do texto como discurso e que permite compreender a interface discurso-argumentação, apresenta-se uma visão reflexiva da gramática, por meio da análise de enunciados reais de produção escrita. Serão analisadas construções em gêneros como charge, cartum e tirinha, diferentemente de abordagens tradicionais da Escola, que priorizam os reconhecimentos da metalinguagem e da prescrição. Espera-se que as reflexões feitas e as análises propostas possam contribuir para um ensino de leitura e interpretação mais consciente e que desenvolva as competências argumentativa e comunicativa dos alunos, em variados gêneros textuais.
