    El objetivo de este artículo es proponer una lectura de “La parte de los crímenes”, en 2666 (2004), de Roberto Bolaño, desde la óptica del capitalismo gore postulado por Sayak Valencia. El eje central está puesto en el personaje de Olegario Cura (Lalo Cura) y como este sería el personaje clave para evitar la “evolución” de este capitalismo hacia el tipo snuff. Tomando las características de Santa Teresa, la cual puede ser leída como ejemplo de “ciudad gore” y las acciones llevadas por Lalo Cura, se contempla como este personaje – guiado por una ética deontológica – encarna la “esperanza” en esta puerta al infierno.

    The objective of this article is to propose a reading of “The part of the crimes”, in 2666 (2004), by Roberto Bolaño, from the perspective of gore capitalism postulated by Sayak Valencia. The central axis is placed on the character of Olegario Cura (Lalo Cura) and how this would be the key to avoid the “evolution” of this capitalism towards the snuff type. Taking the characteristics of Santa Teresa, which can be read as an example of “gore city” and the actions taken by Lalo Cura, it is seen how this character –guided by a deontological ethic– embodies the “hope” in this door to hell.
