    El objetivo del presente estudio es analizar la influencia de la gestión municipal en la contaminación, deterioro y destrucción delpatrimonio en los ambientes urbanos monumentales del Centro Histórico del Cusco en el periodo 2010-2019. En esta investigacióncualitativa se realiza una revisión documental y un análisis de ciertas intervenciones institucionales y privadas que contribuyena la pérdida de identidad cultural en la población del ámbito de estudio. Los resultados muestran que la inversión privada endetrimento de los intereses colectivos genera cambios en la estructura física espacial del tejido edilicio patrimonial, junto a unagestión municipal con una cuestionable organización de servidores públicos que realizan una inadecuada administración de losinstrumentos normativos, planes y licencias de edificación. Ambas situaciones además de contribuir con afectar al patrimonioen los ambientes urbanos monumentales, no permitir a las futuras generaciones la posibilidad de gozar del derecho patrimonial.Se concluye mencionando que la inadecuada gestión municipal influye en la contaminación del paisaje patrimonial, el deteriorofísico espacial y destrucción del patrimonio material en ciertos ambientes urbanos monumentales contribuyendo a la pérdidapaulatina de la identidad cultural en la población del Centro Histórico del Cusco.

    The objective of this study is to analyze the influence of municipal management on the contamination, deterioration and destruction of heritage in the monumental urban environments of the Historic Center of Cusco in the period 2010-2019. In this qualitative research, a documentary review andan analysis of certain institutional and private interventions that contribute to the loss of culturalidentity in the population of the study area are carried out. The results show that private investmentto the detriment of collective interests generates changes in the physical spatial structure of theheritage building fabric, together with a municipal management with a questionable organization of public servants who carry out an inadequate administration of the normative instruments,plans and building licenses. Both situations, in addition to contributing to affecting the heritage inmonumental urban environments, do not allow future generations the possibility of enjoying thepatrimonial right. It concludes by mentioning that inadequate municipal management influencesthe contamination of the heritage landscape, the physical spatial deterioration and destruction ofthe material heritage in certain monumental urban environments, contributing to the gradual lossof cultural identity in the population of the Historic Center of Cusco
