Desde un marco de estudios feministas, en este artículo se analiza Alberto el jugador. Novela de costumbres, de Rosario Orrego, como un texto en el que la regeneración nacional se entrelaza con una compleja agenda feminista de reforma sociofamiliar. Las propuestas reformistas se basan en una política sexual que privilegia las cosmovisiones femeninas. A partir del estudio de las negociaciones, ajustes, tensiones y desobediencias que las tres protagonistas articulan respecto al patriarcado al que pertenecen, es posible desvelar su poder interpretativo. Es con el conjunto de estas visiones femeninas que Orrego logra diseñar con esta novela una audaz agenda feminista de reforma sociofamiliar.

From a feminist studies framework, in this article I analyze Alberto el Jugador. Novela de Costumbres, by Rosario Orrego, as a text in which national regeneration is intertwined with a complex feminist agenda of socio-familiar reform. The reformist proposals are based on a sexual politics that privileges feminine worldviews. From the study of the negotiations, adjustments, tensions and disobediences that the three protagonists articulate regarding the patriarchy to which they belong, it is possible to uncover their interpretative power. It is with the ensemble of these feminine visions that Orrego managed to design a daring feminist agenda of socio-familial reform with this novel.
