La maldición de Changó como una fisura en el dispositivo de la historia occidental: la novela de Manuel Zapata Olivella, Changó, el gran putas

    En el presente artículo se propone una lectura de la novela Changó, el gran putas del escritor afrocolombiano Manuel Zapata Olivella, a la luz de la noción de fisura expuesta por Nelly Richard y utilizada en la crítica literaria por Silvia Molloy. Se problematiza cómo esta novela estaría fisurando el relato histórico del dispositivo de la historia occidental sobre los relatos relacionados a la diáspora africana que tuvo lugar en el siglo XVI. Inicialmente, se conceptualiza la noción de fisura, y después se plantea la noción de “dispositivo de la historia occidental” mediante los planteamientos expresados por Walter Mignolo. Finalmente, se plantea el mito de la maldición de Changó como el filo que genera la fisura dentro de dicho dispositivo.

    In this article I propose a reading of the novel Changó, El Gran Putas by the Afro-Colombian writer Manuel Zapata Olivella, in the light of the notion of fissure exposed by Nelly Richard and used in literary criticism by Silvia Molloy. It is problematized how this novel would be cracking the historical account of the device of Western history on the stories related to the African diaspora that took place in the sixteenth century. Initially, the notion of fissure is conceptualized, and then the notion of “device of Western history” is raised through the approaches expressed by Walter Mignolo. Finally, the myth of the curse of Changó is raised as the edge that generates the fissure within said device.
