    Jeremy C. Wells, profesor asistente en el Programa de Preservación Histórica de la Universidad de Maryland, College Park junto a Barry L. Stiefel, profesor asociado del Programa de Planificación Comunitaria y Preservación Histórica del College of Charleston debido a su interés común por la práctica de la conservación del patrimonio editaron el libro Human-Centered Built Environment Heritage Preservation: Theory and Evidence-Based Practice. En esta publicación, los editores remarcan la necesidad de realizar las investigaciones en el campo de la conservación del patrimonio edificado desde una perspectiva transdisciplinar tomando en cuenta la importancia de aplicar metodologías de las ciencias sociales y de métodos de investigación participativa para una efectiva práctica de la conservación que beneficie a todos.

    Jeremy C. Wells, assistant professor in the Historic Preservation Program at the University of Maryland, College Park, along with Barry L. Stiefel, associate professor in the Community Planning and Historic Preservation Program at the College of Charleston due to their common interest in the practice of heritage conservation edited the book Human-Centered Built Environment Heritage Preservation: Theory and Evidence-Based Practice. In this publication, the editors stress the need to carry out research in the field of conservation of built heritage from a transdisciplinary perspective, taking into account the importance of applying methodologies from the social sciences and participatory research methods for an effective conservation practice that benefits all.
