Resumen de Electric Field Activity for Continuous Charge Distributions
The activity centers around calculating the electric field created by a finite uniformly charged rod along its axis. A technique to scaffold a student’s ability to construct an appropriate integrand using a procedure that treats the charge distribution as a discrete set of point charges8 could be included in the overall module depending on instructor preference. This experience can be extended to include calculating the field at other locations around the finite charged rod or other charge distributions.
