This paper describes a pedagogy that deepened student learning of the physics of the human eye and instilled strategies to reduce computer vision syndrome (CVS), a public health issue worsened by increased technology use during the COVID-19 pandemic. Students discussed the relationship between screen time and symptoms of computer-related vision problems, highlighting the important role of physics in educating themselves and the public on the topic.
