Resumen de Industry, development and employment by sector in russia, ukraine and 3 caucasian countries, 1990-2022

We analyze economic development of Ukraine, Russia and 3 Cacucasian countries (Armenia, Azerbaijan and Georgia) for the period 1990-2022. The highest percentage of increase of real production per capita corresponded to Armenia (higher than the World average). The other countries of this study experienced a moderate positive evolution, but Ukraine that unfortunately has experienced a strong diminution for the period 19902000, a slight recovery for 2000-2015 and a decrease for 2015-2022. We analyze the evolution of Industrial and Non Industria Production, Population, Employment and Net Migration. For the period 1990-2020, Industry experienced a high increase in Azerbaijan while there was a high decrease in Ukraine. In 2022, Azerbaijan and Russia had values of Industrial development higher than World average, while Armenia and Georgia were slightly below World average and Ukraine reached only a 52% of World average. There was increase of Employment in Azerbaijan and Russia and a decrease in the other 3 countries. The main conclussions highlight the great importance of fostering a Peace agreement, in the conflict between Russia and Ukraine, to favour development and quality of life in both countries, and the convenience to foster industrial development due to its important effects on non-industrial production, income per capita and employment in the set of countries of this study.
