Resumen de Repensar, reinventar y reflexionar la investigación cualitativa en tiempos de covid-19: el caso de los estudios migratorios

    El objetivo de este artículo es mostrar las formas en las que los investigadores con orientación cualitativa rediseñaron sus instrumentos analíticos en respuesta a la pandemia por la COVID-19 para analizar temas migratorios. Para identificar los perfiles, métodos y adecuaciones, utilizamos la “metodología rápida” para aplicar un cuestionario durante el mes de junio de 2020, en el que participaron 70 investigadores sociales de diversas disciplinas. Los hallazgos revelan que la crisis es una oportunidad para repensar las formas de hacer investigación cualitativa, reinventar las técnicas y los instrumentos por medio de los cuales construimos información y reflexionar sobre nuestro quehacer investigativo. Sugerimos que las tres R son parte de un proceso creativo que puede desarrollarse en cualquier momento de la investigación cualitativa en temas migratorios, pero que la pandemia ha sido un momento clave para reflexionar al respecto.

  The objective of this article is to show how qualitatively oriented researchers redesigned their analytical instruments in response to the COVID-19 pandemic to analyse migration issues. To identify the profiles, methods, and adaptations, we used the “rapid methodology” to apply a questionnaire during June 2020 in which 70 social researchers from various disciplines participated. The findings reveal that the crisis is an opportunity to rethink the ways of doing qualitative research, reinvent the techniques and instruments through which we construct information, and reflect on our research work. We suggest that the three R’s are part of a creative process that can develop at any point in qualitative research on migration issues, but that the pandemic has been a key moment to reflect about this.
