    A pesquisa aborda um tema de grande relevância atual e permite abordar o resgate e a formação da memória histórica esportiva local e nacional como elemento essencial, o que possibilita a abordagem ao estudo de eventos esportivos históricos de relevância para o esporte cubano em tal uma forma que possa fortalecer a identidade e a cultura esportiva histórica local e nacional. Os resultados alcançados por valiosos atletas cubanos e especialmente os de Cienfuegos no desenvolvimento dos Jogos Centro-Americanos e do Caribe, sem dúvida, são uma contribuição de grande relevância para a história do esporte cubano e fazem referência a eles em diferentes espaços educacionais e esportivos . Revela os valores desportivos alcançados desde 1959 com o direito do povo à prática desportiva. A utilização de diversos métodos e técnicas de investigação permitiu-nos aprofundar a procura de conteúdos históricos desportivos e sistematizar os valiosos resultados que contribuem para enriquecer a memória histórica do desporto e com ela fortalecer os valores identitários locais e nacionais.

    The research covers a topic of great current relevance and makes it possible to address the rescue and formation of local and national sports historical memory as an essential element, which makes possible the approach to the study of historical sports events of relevance to Cuban sport in such a way that can strengthen the identity and historical local and national sports culture. The results achieved by valuable Cuban athletes and especially those from Cienfuegos in the development of the Central American and Caribbean Games, without a doubt, are a contribution of great relevance to the history of Cuban sports and make reference to them in different educational and sports spaces. Reveals the sporting values ​​achieved since 1959 with the right of the people to practice sports. The use of various research methods and techniques allowed us to deepen the search for historical sports content and systematize the valuable results that contribute to enriching the historical memory of sports and with it to strengthening local and national identity values.
