This chapter deals with analyzing the project’s evolution of the Faculty of Architecture of the University of Porto (FAUP), designed by Álvaro Siza Vieira. Herein we seek to explore unusual ways of representing, observing, and investigating part of Siza’s conceptual process, based on some of his sketches from the initial studies of FAUP’s New Buildings; and thus, to develop visual interpretations about such an emblematic project, towards which a “re-look” is always valid. This work starts from the interpretive hypothesis of Peter Testa (2000 and 2003), who understands FAUP’s as an evolutionary project. Through investigation mediated by linear and curvilinear perspectives, and axonometry, our objective is to create visual panels intended to capture scenes of this evolution in a visual narrative that provides a possible and coherent interpretation. The methodology is supported by a brief bibliographic review, mainly on publications focused on the FAUP project and on the idea of redrawing as an investigation method. In this case, redrawing starts from four carefully selected sketches that support the “Research Panels,” where we present each sketch and derived perspectives. Through this journey, we hope to speculate, understand, and know a little more about the creative process of the fundamental architect Álvaro Siza Vieira and about this, particularly pedagogical work, where tradition and innovation are combined.
