  • University education within the degree in social education for the development of criticaland ethical thinking is essential in order to respond and adapt the professional profile to the principlesof the code of ethics. Addressing ageism in the university classroom favours the development of ethicaltraining based on the principles of social justice, equity and coherence. The inclusion of ageism in theacademic curriculum not only raises awareness of this issue among future professionals, but also pro-vides them with the theoretical and practical tools necessary to address it effectively in their work. Theimplementation of experiential learning (training on the ageing process and intergenerational contact)and the inclusion of methodological strategies such as ethical dilemmas, case analysis, debates, etc.strengthen the development of social skills and critical reflection among students, preparing them for ef-fective intervention in the professional field. Finally, the university’s openness to the community enablesthe development of institutional links with a view to the development of practices more adapted to theprofessional profile and greater satisfaction with the degree.
