Resumen de Caligrafía en la metodología de Formación Profesional

Silvia López Alonso

  • When there is a weak or lacking self-concept, it is difficult to achieve the skills, competen- cies and content established at each educational stage. Statistical studies show that the academic perfor- mance of adolescents and Secondary School (SE) students is higher compared to Vocational Education Training (VET), which presents academic difficulties such as negative experiences in SE, poor family and social support necessary to acquire study habits, overcome the stages and progress academically.

Relevant studies report about a link between personality and individual differences in writing far beyond beautiful, non-beautiful, excellent, or bad writing. An individual’s behaviours and decisions, driven largely by his personality, can be identified based on the characteristics of his writing. Handwriting can be unique to each person and from it is possible to infer the nature, behaviour and certain psychological aspects of a person. The objective is to communicate that handwriting is a vital skill for human activi- ties; demonstrate that an individual’s behaviours and decisions can be identified based on the character- istics of his or her writing; explain what graphology is, and to propose handwriting exercises for VET.

It is concluded that the analysis of human behaviour based on graphology is gaining popularity in the world due to its applicability in very varied fields such as Psychology, Education, personal guidance, crime detection or Human Resources.
