In the present paper, the subject of the investigation is the way some concepts appear in the political theory of divergent authors, but to whom the theme of Modern Estate is a fundamental key. The main concepts to be analyzed are organismand mechanism, having as main authors Hobbes, Hegel, Schmitt and Marx. The objective consists in obtaining a geral view of the sense of politics focused on the relation between the political domain and the economical domain, the public and the private, and how this relationship emerges in authors of different philosophical streams in whatconcerns the sense of politicsfocused on the relation between the political domain and the economical domain, the public and the private, and how this relationship emerges in authors ofdifferent philosophical streams in what concerns the sense of politics.

No presente artigo, o objeto de investigação é a forma como alguns conceitos aparecem na teoria política de autores divergentes, mas para quem o tema do Estado moderno é uma chave fundamental. Os conceitos centrais a serem analisados são os de organismo e mecanismo, tendo por autores principais Hobbes, Hegel, Schmitt e Marx. O intuito consiste em obter um quadro geral do sentido do político focado na relação entre o domínio político e o domínio econômico, entre o público e o privado, e como esta relação surge em autores de diferentes vertentes filosóficas no que concerne o sentido do político.
