    El Convenio núm. 190 de la OIT es el primer tratado internacional que aborda la violencia y el acoso en el mundo del trabajo. El Convenio fue adoptado en junio de 2019 por la Conferencia Internacional del Trabajo de la Organización Internacional del Trabajo (OIT) y entró en vigor el 25 de junio de 2021. Los gobiernos que ratifiquen el C190 deberán implementar las leyes y medidas políticas necesarias para prevenir y abordar la violencia y el acoso en el mundo del trabajo. El Convenio representa un hito histórico y la oportunidad de dar forma a un futuro del trabajo basado en la dignidad y el respeto para todos. En la adecuación normativa española no se debe perder de vista la importancia de considerar un enfoque inclusivo y de derechos, que atienda a la realidad y permita establecer acciones certeras que protejan ampliamente a las víctimas que, como bien sabemos, son en su mayoría mujeres.

    Convention no. ILO Convention 190 is the first international treaty to address violence and harassment in the world of work. The Convention was adopted in June 2019 by the International Labor Conference of the International Labor Organization (ILO) and entered into force on June 25, 2021. Governments that ratify C190 must implement the necessary laws and policy measures to prevent and addressing violence and harassment in the world of work. The Convention represents a historic milestone and the opportunity to shape a future of work based on dignity and respect for all. In the Spanish regulatory adaptation, we must not lose sight of the importance of considering an inclusive and rights-based approach, which takes into account reality and allows establishing accurate actions that broadly protect the victims who, as we well know, are mostly women.
