The challenges of democracy in Ecuador in a context of fragility in the organization of political parties

Resumen
- In the last 15 years, Ecuador has experienced a democratic crisis marked by the disappearance of traditional political parties, being replaced by smaller movements without a solid party structure or clear ideology. The main objective of this research is to restore democracy, revitalizing political parties with a defined ideological structure, thus avoiding the proliferation of small movements without party organization; To this end, an exhaustive study will be carried out on the nature of a democratic government and the fundamental role of political parties in determining the destiny of the State.
