Patients admitted to the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) require rigorous attention. It has been shown that proper oral hygiene of patients admitted to the ICU can have a direct impact on the patient's life. In the present observational, descriptive, cross-sectional, prospective study, data was collected, involving health personnel who provide their services in the ICU of the IESS Ambato hospital, including professionals aged 21 years and older, which aims to explain the care required by the patient, preventing them from contracting pathological microorganisms, revealing the number of trained professionals.
