The management of patient safety is a priority in health institutions for the execution of safe practices that guarantee that the patient does not experience unnecessary or potential harm associated with health care. The present study evaluated the management of patient safety at the Santo Domingo General Hospital, during the year 2022. It was structured as a quantitative study, with a descriptive, exploratory and field approach, due to the use of instruments that collect information from the sources. study primaries. The questionnaire of the Agency for Health Care Research and Quality and the structured interview with the director of the institution were used as methodological tools. The sample was made up of 100 professionals from the operating population and an administrative director. Where labor, social and personal parameters were included, evaluated in 5 security categories. Highlighting that 65% of health personnel determined that the guidelines of the patient safety program are fully complied with. Concluding that, even when the management of patient safety in this institution is efficient, continuous training and the inclusion of updating parameters that adapt to the needs of the establishment are necessary, and thus improve the culture of patient safety
