Fundada inicialmente como hermandad letífica y de carácter hospitalario dedicada a santa Brígida de Irlanda, la Hermandad de La O ha vivido sus casi cinco siglos de historia con un claro rumbo: el culto a Dios en comunidad a través del carisma cofrade y la práctica del amor fraterno. Durante ese tiempo adquirió carácter penitencial como cofradía de nazarenos y también una fuerte identidad sacramental por ser la responsable del sostenimiento del culto eucarístico en su templo propio, donde hoy radica la segunda parroquia del barrio de Triana.

Initially founded as a hospitable brotherhood dedicated to St. Bridget of Ireland, the Brotherhood of La O has lived its almost five centuries of his history with a clear direction: the worship of God in community through the brotherly charism and the practice of fraternal love. During that time, it acquired a penitential character as a brotherhood of Nazarenos and also a strong sacramental identity for being responsible for sustaining the Eucharistic worship in its own temple, where today is the second parish of the Triana neighborhood
