    Las comunidades de montaña de zonas remotas son muy vulnerables a los cambios, ya que incluso los cambios más pequeños pueden tener consecuencias importantes para las comunidades que viven allí. En Pakistán, el valle de Hushé (región de Baltistán) es una comunidad de montaña remota. El principal objetivo de este estudio ha sido ofrecer un diagnóstico del entorno humano de dicho valle. Para ello, y con vistas a un desarrollo sostenible que mejore la situación socioeconómica y la calidad de vida de los habitantes, se ha realizado un diagnóstico interado del sistema mediante entrevistas cualitativas a expertos que realizan proyectos en el valle. Los resultados de este diagnóstico se han recopilado en un cuadro DAFO, junto con propuestas de diversas medidas a aplicar en el futuro. El estudio subraya la necesidad urgente de que el valle desarrolle un programa de ordenación territorial, pero al mismo tiempo se corresponde con la importancia actual de la comunidad del valle, que debe tener autonomía para su desarrollo.

    Mountain communities in remote areas are very vulnerable to change, as even small changes can have significant consequences for the communities living there. In Pakistan, the Hushe Valley (Baltistan region) is a remote mountain community. The main objective of this study was to provide a diagnosis of the human environment in the Hushe Valley. For this purpose, and with a view to sustainable development that improves the socio-economic situation and the quality of life of the inhabitants, an integrated diagnosis of the system was carried out through qualitative interviews with actors implementing projects in the valley. The results of this diagnosis have been compiled in a SWOT table, along with proposals for various measures to be applied in the future. The study underlines the urgent need for the Hushe Valley to develop a spatial planning programme, but at the same time corresponds to the current importance of the valley community, which should have autonomy for development.

    Urrutiko eremuetan dauden mendiko komunitateak oso zaurkorrak dira aldaketarekiko, aldaketa txikiek ondorio nabariak eragin ditzaketelarik bertan bizi diren komunitateengan. Pakistango herrialde barruan, Hushe harana (Baltistan eskualdea) urrutiko mendi komunitate bat da. Ikerketa honen helburu nagusia Hushe haraneko giza ingurunearen diagnostikoa egitea izan da. Horretarako, bertako biztanleen egoera sozio-ekonomikoa eta bizi-kalitatea hobetuko dituen garapen jasangarria aurrera eramateko, giza-sistemaren diagnostiko integratu bat eratu da haranean aplikatzen ari diren hainbat proiektuetako adituei elkarrizketa kualitatiboak eginez. Diagnostikoan lortutako emaitzak AMIA taula batean bildu dira eta etorkizunean aurrera eramateko neurri desberdinenen proposamena burutu da. Ikerketak agerian uzten du Hushe haranak Lurralde Antolakuntzarako premiazko beharra daukala, baina aldi berean, gaur egungo protagonismoa haraneko komunitatearena dela, beraiek izan beharko luketelarik haranaren garapen autonomia.
