La relación entre la narrativa chilena y el trabajo se ha investigado sobre todo en el contexto de mediados del siglo XX (generación del 38’. Con el desarrollo del neoliberalismo y en el escenario posdictatorial, las representaciones literarias han elaborado nuevos protagonismos minoritarios en el mundo del trabajo, donde la migración es uno de los tópicos que aparecen tímidamente en un mundo literario golpeado por el desplome del proletariado como clase. Este artículo pretende caracterizar la representación del trabajo y la migración, sus características subjetivas, la precarización y la desterritorialización del mercado laboral, donde los trabajadores son asimilados a un insumo de la producción. Los desplazamientos ilegales por las fronteras demuestran nuevos imaginarios donde la vulnerabilidad, la animalización y el sometimiento corporal y sexual son los temas de estas estéticas de los trabajadores migrantes como contrapunto al exitoso relato neoliberal.

The relationship between Chilean narrative and labor has been primarily investigated within the context of the mid-twentieth century (Generation of ‘38). During the rise of neoliberalism and in the post-dictatorial scenario, literary representations have explored the increased visibility of new minorities that have emerged within the world of work, where migration is one of the topics timidly appearing in a literary landscape affected by the decline of the proletariat as a class. This article aims to characterize the representation of work and migration, exploring their subjective characteristics, the precarization of labor, and the deterritorialization of the job market, where workers are assimilated as mere production inputs. Illegal border crossings give rise to new imaginaries, where vulnerability, animalization, and bodily and sexual subjugation become central themes in the aesthetics of migrant workers, countering the successful neoliberal narrative
