    El artículo contextualiza y analiza cuarenta y una antologías de poesía chilena publicadas entre 1944 y 1973, partiendo de «Poetas chilenos, 1557-1944», de Carlos René Correa, y terminando con la sexta edición de «Las cien mejores poesías chilenas» de Alone. Estudia la manera en que las antologías dialogan con el canon principal de la poesía chilena, los arduos intentos de renovarlo y la mirada crítica de ciertos antólogos. Después de examinar el papel sumamente marginal de la mujer en las antologías chilenas así como la presencia de temáticas y perspectivas políticas, se centra por último en la figura del antólogo más leído y editado del país: Alone.

    The article offers a literary context and analyses forty-one anthologies of Chilean poetry published between 1944 and 1973, starting with «Poetas chilenos, 1557-1944», by Carlos René Correa, and ending with the sixth edition of «Las cien mejores poesías chilenas», by Alone. It studies the way in which the anthologies portray the central canon of Chilean poetry, their arduous attempts to renew it, and the critical attitude of some of the anthologists. After examining the very marginal role of women in the anthologies and the presence of political themes and perspectives, it focuses on the figure of the most widely read and published Chilean anthologist: Alone.
