Este artículo pretende ofrecer una panorámica de la trayectoria de la crítica literaria hecha por mujeres en Chile durante el siglo XX. Revisa el proceso de ingreso de sus escrituras al campo cultural y literario que se inaugura con su desplazamiento del espacio privado al público hasta el momento en que es posible identificar un ingreso relativamente regular al cenáculo esquivo del pensamiento. Para indagar y caracterizar este proceso, este trabajo se detiene y expone las condiciones socio-históricas que lo permitieron y facilitaron, así como en aquellos casos que sirviéndose de ellas y elaborando estrategias de incorporación desafiaron e ingresaron al terreno más resistente y cercado de la ciudad letrada patriarcal, el de la producción de pensamiento y del conocimiento formal.

This article offers an overview of the trajectory of literary criticism made by women in Chile during the twen-tieth century. It reviews the process of entry of their writings into the cultural and literary field that begins with their displacement from the private to the public space until the moment in which it is possible to identify a relatively regular entry into the elusive cenacle of thought. To investigate this process, this work explores the socio-historical conditions that allowed and facilitated it, as well as cases in which women entered the most resistant terrain of the patriarchal lettered city: that of the production of thought and formal knowledge
