Resumen de La predestinación estamental en un relato del Calila e Dimna en relación con testimonios árabes

Se realiza un análisis comparativo del capítulo “Del hijo del rey y sus compañeros” del Calila e Dimna con la versión del manuscrito BNF Arabe 3478, que se considera el testimonio árabe más cercano a la versión castellana. Se hace especial hincapié en el tratamiento de la pertenencia estamental de cada personaje, para determinar si la traducción cultural se realizó de manera aproblemática. Se verifica la intercambiabilidad en ciertas ocasiones de los personajes que representan los estamentos medios (el comerciante y el noble). Se determina que en el testimonio castellano se llevó a cabo un cambio argumental debido a la condición conflictiva de la representación de la coronación de un gobernante.

A comparative analysis of the chapter “Del hijo del rey y sus compañero” of Calila e Dimna is made with the version of the manuscript BNF Arabe 3478, which is considered the closest Arabic testimony to the Castilian version. Particular emphasis is placed on the treatment of the statal belonging of each character, in order to determine whether the cultural translation was carried out in an aproblematic manner. The interchangeability of the characters representing the middle classes (the merchant and the nobleman) is verified on certain occasions. It is determined that in the Castilian testimony an argumental change was carried out due to the conflictive condition of the representation of the coronation of a ruler.
