ABSTRACT The objective of this article is to determine the predictors that influence social innovation (SI) in social economy initiatives (SEI) in the city of Ibarra, Imbabura Province, Ecuador. The predictors are oriented towards the variables: innovation climate, economic value, social value for customers, and social value for the community. To assess the reliability and validity of the developed instrument, Cronbach's Alpha coefficient was utilized. Pearson correlation was performed between the utilized scales. The results confirm H1: The combined model of Multiple Linear Regression of the variable construct positively correlates with SI. The determination of the predictors allowed for the consolidation of the conceptual framework that relates SI in SEIs and specifies the variables that enable the measurement of how the three selected units of analysis meet social needs by providing innovative solutions that reflect their capacity to develop SI.
