Resumen de Servicios, capital y trabajo: una reflexión crítica

  El artículo pretende contribuir al debate y reflexión acerca de la evolución y desarrollo del sector terciario o de servicios en el sistema capitalista, desde una visión crítica, reconociendo el hecho objetivo manifestado en las últimas décadas, sobre el incremento de la participación de este sector tanto en las economías desarrolladas como subdesarrolladas y en la valorización del capital y la reproducción del sistema. Se centra en el comportamiento de los aspectos generales del sector de los servicios; se ejemplifica a través del turismo como actividad económica que forma parte de él, su desarrollo y significado en la actualidad; se destaca la interesante polémica entre algunos autores en torno al papel de los servicios y a la clasificación del trabajo -productivo e improductivo- que en él se desarrolla. Se enfatiza en el pensamiento de Marx, donde se encuentran los fundamentos científicos que logran explicar el carácter productivo de dicha actividad terciaria.

  The article aims at contributing to the debate and reflection, as from a critical perspective on the evolution and development of the tertiary or services sector in the capitalist system, recognizing the objective fact manifested in recent decades, increasing the share of this sector, both in developed and underdeveloped economies and in the valorization of capital and the reproduction of the system. It focuses on the behavior of the general aspects of the services sector; it is exemplified through tourism as an economic activity that is part of it, its development and meaning nowadays; the interesting controversy among some authors about the role of services and the classification of productive and non-productive work that develops in it stands out. Emphasis is placed on Marx's thought, where the scientific foundations that explain the productive character of this tertiary activity are found.
