Resumen de Una institución educativa helenística: La Escuela Catequística de Alejandría

En este artículo se debaten dos ideas claves. Por una parte la intención de ofrecer a la Historia de la Educación un modelo de escuela acorde en su metodología con la paideia helenística de la época.
La otra idea pretende recoger las dos tesis que se barajan sobre el contenido, origen y carácter de dicha escuela. En este sentido pienso que aparecen bien reflejadas, tanto la postura tradicional de la Iglesia, iniciada por el historiador Eusebio de Cesarea, concediendo el carácter catequístico a esta escuela, como la postura crítica de G. Bardy, para quien el origen teológico parte desde Orígenes, siendo Panteno y Clemente maestros de otro Didaskaleion más plural y menos catequístico. La conclusión final duda de la certeza plena de ambas tesis.

I think thad is shows the traditional position of the Church, that was started by the historian Eusebio de Cesaera, giviny the catechisted character to that school, and at the same time the critic position of G. Bardy, to whom the teological origin comes from Orígenes, being Panteno and Clemente masters of another didaskaleion more plural. The final conclusion doubts of the accuracy of both thesis.
