Resumen de Cambios en el mapa empresarial cubano: impactos sistémicos y desafíos asociados

En Cuba se han adoptado medidas y transformaciones de notable repercusión en el funcionamiento del sistema empresarial, como parte de la "actualización del modelo económico". El impulso y la flexibilización del sector privado y la consolidación de un sector no estatal en general, así como la posibilidad de contratar fuerza de trabajo en este sector, constituye uno de los aspectos más trascendentales de la reforma actual. En este trabajo se valoraron algunas de las implicaciones de este nuevo escenario para el sistema empresarial en su conjunto, al destacar las contradicciones que ya se están manifestando y que pudieran agudizarse, si no se crea e instrumenta un marco regulatorio e institucional coherente.

Measures and transformations highly influential in the business functioning system have been taken in Cuba, as part of the "updating of the economic model". The boost and relaxation given to the private sector and the consolidation of a non-state sector in general, as well as the possibility of hiring working force in this sector, constitutes one of the most transcendent aspects of the present reform. Some of the implications of this new scene for the business system as a whole were assessed in this paper, by highlighting contradictions already present and which could be aggravated if a regulatory and coherent institutional structure is not created.
