    RESUMEN El objetivo del presente texto es exponer los fundamentos teóricos de un estudio sobre el envejecimiento activo y saludable en el adulto mayor, desde la perspectiva del enfoque multidisciplinario. Constituye una de las tareas de un proyecto de investigación que se inició en enero de 2023 y se extiende hasta diciembre de 2024, participan investigadores de instituciones y servicios de salud del territorio. Se trata de una investigación sobre la incidencia de la hipoacusia de percepción, el comportamento de la sexualidad y la presencia de afecciones urológicas en adultos mayores, lo que contribuye a modificar sus estilos y calidad de vida, desde un enfoque biopsicosocial en el contexto de la Atención Primaria y Secundaria.

    ABSTRACT The objective of this text is to present the theoretical foundations of a study on active and healthy aging in older adults, from the perspective of a multidisciplinary approach. It constitutes one of the tasks of a research project that began in January 2023 and extends until December 2024, involving researchers from institutions and health services in the territory. This is a research on the incidence of perceptual hearing loss, sexuality behavior and the presence of urological conditions in older adults, which contributes to modifying their styles and quality of life, from a biopsychosocial approach in the context of Primary and Secondary Care.
