Resumen de Técnicas de refutación en el discurso político: los contradestinatarios en la polémica por las retenciones móviles en Argentina (2008)

El conflicto por las retenciones agropecuarias del año 2008 constituye uno de los episodios de confrontación política más significativos desde la crisis económica de 2001 en Argentina (Aronskind & Vommaro, 2010; Cantamutto y López, 2019). En este trabajo, nuestro objetivo es abordar la construcción discursiva de destinatarios negativos (o contradestinatarios, Verón, 1987) en los discursos de la entonces presidenta Cristina Fernández de Kirchner, por un lado, y los dirigentes agrarios que lideraron la oposición a la medida, por otro. Para ello, analizamos las técnicas argumentativas de refutación (Reale y Vitale, 1995; Vallejos Llobet, 2012) utilizadas para criticar o atacar el discurso del adversario. El análisis muestra que, en ambos discursos, la construcción de contradestinatarios opera más para deslegitimar la figura del oponente que para invalidar los argumentos presentados, lo cual se vincula con la presencia de algunas máximas generales que permanecen incuestionadas en el debate, como, por ejemplo, una distribución más equitativa del ingreso o el apoyo a los pequeños productores agrarios.

The conflict regarding a new scheme of agro-export taxes in 2008 constitutes one of the most significant political episodes following the economic crisis of 2001 in Argentina (Aronskind & Vommaro, 2010; Cantamutto y López, 2019). In this study, our purpose is to examine the discursive construction of negative addressees (or contradestinatarios, Verón, 1987) in the public speeches of the then President Cristina Fernández de Kirchner, on the one hand, and of the leaders of the agrarian organizations that lead the opposition to the new tax, on the other. To that end, we analyze the argumentative techniques of refutation (Reale & Vitale, 1995; Vallejos Llobet, 2012) used to criticize or attack the discourses of their adversaries. The results show that in both cases the strategies of refutation focus more on the delegitimation of the opponent than on invalidating the arguments themselves, which relates to the presence of general maxims that remain unquestioned in the debate, like a fairer income distribution or the support for small farmers.
