Resumen de Estudio paleopatológico del individuo uf 2 de la necrópolis medieval (s. Ix-x) del yacimiento arqueológico de los antiguos juzgados municipales (antics jujats municipals) de Barcelona

  Este estudio analiza al individuo UF2, procedente de la necrópolis medieval (s. IX-X) del yacimiento Antiguos Juzgados Municipales de Barcelona. Para llevar a término el estudio, se estimó la edad y el sexo, y se procedió al análisis macroscópico y radiológico de las lesiones observadas. Los resultados indicaron un varón de 39- 40 años de edad con lesiones en cráneo, cervicales, antebrazo y mano izquierdos. El diagnóstico diferencial más probable se realizó entre la enfermedad de Still vs artritis reumatoide. La afectación con fusión C2-C3 sin erosiones en la apófisis odontoides, la asimetría en la afectación articular y la anquilosis carpiana unilateral reforzaron el diagnóstico de enfermedad de Still.

  This study analyzes the individual UF2, from the medieval necropolis (9th-10th century) of the Antiguos Juzgados site in Barcelona. To complete the study, age and sex were estimated, and macroscopic and radiological analysis of the observed lesions was carried out. The results indicated a 39-40-year-old man with injuries to the skull, neck, left forearm and hand. The most probable differential diagnosis was made between Still’s disease vs rheumatoid arthritis. The involvement with C2-C3 fusion without erosions in the odontoid process, the asymmetry in the joint involvement and the unilateral carpal ankylosis reinforced the diagnosis of Still’s disease
