This current booklet is the result of work undertaken by Latin American historians from the following universities: Benemérita Universidad Autónoma, Puebla, and Universidad Autónoma de Yucatán (Mexico);
Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile and Academia Nacional de Estudios Políticos y Estratégicos (Chile); Universidad Nacional de Colombia (Colombia); Universidad de San Car los de Guatemala (Guatemala); Universidad de la Habana (Cuba); Pontificia Universidad Católica de Ecuador (Ecuador); and Universidade de Caxias do Sul (Brazil).
