Resumen

• Poland and Spain – Border Countries of the European Union is a significant publication. In difficult times of the Covid-19 pandemic Europe – more than ever before – must be aware of its unity and solidarity. Undoubtedly, knowledge of the European Union`s states reality strengths this awareness. This publication allows getting acquainted with the political problems of its two peripheral states. Poles and Spaniards share a complicated history of the 19th century: a lack of the state and a time of deep crisis, respectively. Both nations experienced the tragic events of the 20th century. But Poland and Spain also have a successful democratic transition and accession to the European Union of which they are now essential members.
