Los tres tomos que componen Derecho internacional: Investigación, estudio y enseñanza recogen algunas de las reflexiones discutidas en el marco del Simposio Internacional Repensando y Renovando el Derecho Internacional dentro, desde y sobre la América Latina, celebrado en Bogotá, en 2017. Los capítulos que aquí se incluyen (en español, inglés y portugués) son resultado de múltiples proyectos que buscaban responder a una premisa general: cómo repensar y renovar el derecho internacional en América Latina. Así mismo, se busca aportar al conocimiento e investigación en esta materia a partir de las muchas preguntas que surgieron durante el simposio, pero que también las desbordan y abren nuevos horizontes. Por ello, en el primer tomo, Historia(s) del derecho internacional, se presentan las reflexiones, entre otros, de los profesores Antony Anghie, Martti Koskenniemi y Anne Orford en torno a la historia del derecho internacional; en el segundo, Aproximaciones al derecho internacional, ideas sobre la educación y el derecho internacional, y en el tercero, Economía, medio ambiente y desarrollo frente al derecho internacional, disquisiciones sobre el imperialismo, la economía y el medio ambiente. De este modo, en este libro se lograron incluir diferentes perspectivas sobre lo regional y lo universal y proponer un diálogo entre internacionalistas latinoamericanos y de otras partes del mundo.

The three volumes that make up International Law: Research, Study, and Teaching present some of the reflections discussed within the framework of the International Symposium “Rethinking and Renewing International Law in, from, and on Latin America,” held in Bogotá in 2017. The chapters included here (in Spanish, English, and Portuguese) are the result of multiple projects that sought to respond to a general query: how to rethink and renew international law in Latin America. Likewise, they aim to contribute to a better knowledge and research in this area based on numerous questions that arose during the symposium, while going beyond them and opening new horizons. Therefore, the first volume, History(s) of International Law, present reflections by professors Antony Anghie, Martti Koskenniemi, and Anne Orford, among others, on the history of international law. The second volume, Approaches to International Law, examines ideas about education and international law, while the third one, Economy, Environment, and Development in Face of International Law, includes studies on imperialism, economy, and the environment. Thus, this book is able to include different perspectives on regional and universal aspects, while proposing a dialogue between Latin American internationalists and other parts of the world.
