Resumen de Time evolution of holographic observables

Joao López

  • In this work we study quantum quenches in the context of the Anti-de Sitter/Conformal Field Theory (AdS/CFT) conjecture. In ``Motivation'' we introduce the subject of AdS/CFT as well as talk about the motivation to some classes of open questions in AdS/CFT. One such question is ``What is the gravitational dual to a quantum quench in a field theory?'' We also present previous attempts to answer this question. In Chapter 2 we recall known solutions which are asymptotically AdS 3 in pure Einstein gravity, and compute space-like geodesic lengths in those spaces. In Chapter 3 we present our model, explain how to compute the relevant observable there in a holographic way and discuss and interpret the results and compare them with the relevant CFT calculations in the literature. In Chapter 4 we treat the fast-quench limit of our model and compute general space-like 2-point functions there, thus in some sense generalizing the previous Chapter. In Chapter 5, we present a new algorithm which we use to obtain new Einstein-dilaton gravity (EDG) solutions. Lastly, we make a summary of the conclusions of this work and present an outlook.
