Resumen de Interrelaciones entre el clima motivacional y la cohesión en futbolistas cadetes

  Se estudian las relaciones entre el clima motivacional percibido y la cohesión en 140 jugadores de fútbol de 9 equipos de la categoría de cadetes con edades comprendidas entre los 13 y los 16 años (M = 15.05, D.T. = .49) que participaban en la liga de fútbol de la Comunidad Valenciana. A mitad de temporada se les administraron las versiones españolas del Cuestionario de Clima Motivacional Percibido (PMCSQ2, Newton & Duda, 1993) y del Cuestionario de Entorno de Equipo (GEQ, Carron, Widmeyer, & Brawley, 1985).

  Los resultados muestran que el clima de implicación en la tarea actúa como el mejor predictor de la cohesión tanto social como de tarea.

  The aim of this work is to study the relationship between motivational climate and cohesion in 140 youth soccer players representing 9 league teams.

  Within the overall sample, 9 teams participated in cadete (ages 13-16) divisions of the Valencia youth soccer league. Spanish versions of the PMCSQ-2 (Newton & Duda, 1993) and the GEQ (Carron, Widmeyer, & Brawley, 1985) were administered to athletes by team representatives at a team practice during a one-week target period at approximately the mid-point of the competitive league season. Task climate was the stronger predictor of task and social cohesion.
