The aim of this essay is to analyze the main linguistic characteristics of the teleshopping advertisements. All the texts we analyze are argumentatives and they have a perlocutive end: make us buy the product they advertise. We analyze the linguistic features that lead us to consider them as an argumentation (they have a thesis and some arguments, they have an argumentative structure, they are based on topics and they have different discourse markers); so as to the linguistic features they use to convince the hearer and to highlight the product (apellative function, interrogative utterances, abundant adjectivation).
