  • In a career spanning more than forty years, the partnership formed by Jean-Marie Straub and Danièle Huillet persevered through thick and thin and culminated in the production a radical work in the original sense of the word. Their cinema looks to “show all that does not want to be seen” through the production of a materialistic image. This image lends itself to the mission, not as a veil of a reality but as an unveiling of revelation per se.
