Telomeres are a ribonucleoproteic complex at the end of chromosomes which are essential for chromosome protection and genomic stability. Telomeres are DNA tandem repetitions of a rich sequence in G base (TTAGGG at all vertebrales) to that thay join a six proteins complex called shelterins, wich includes the heterodimer Pot1-TPP1 and to the proteins of union to the telomere TRF1 and TRF2, and to their interaction factors Rap1 and Tin2.
