    En el presente ensayo se intenta dar una visión de las ideas del físico norteamericano Thomas Kuhn, expuestas en su libro La estructura de las revoluciones científicas; contextualizadas en una larga transición que arranca desde las últimas décadas del Siglo XIX y de los grandes cambios que se dieron en el mundo intelectual a mediados del siglo XX. Se destacan las categorías anomalía y crisis como conceptos fundamentales de su pensamiento para explicar las revoluciones científicas.

    This essay aims to give an overview of the ideas of the North American physicist Thomas Kuhn which were presented in his book, The Structure of Scientific Revolutions. These ideas are contextualized in a long history which began in the last decades of the nineteenth century and by great changes that came about in the intellectual world in the middle of the twentieth century. The notions of anomaly and crisis stand out as fundamental concepts of his thinking in order to explain the scientific revolutions.
