  • Resumen
    • The present paper presents a methodology to explore the combinatorial properties of terms belonging to biology, based on the analysis of a large corpus of scientific articles. The research has led to the production of a writing aid tool meant to help non-native authors write scientific papers in English. The tool design is based on the evaluation of potential users' needs, which was undertaken by sending out a questionnaire to the teaching and research staff at the Life Sciences Department at the University Paris Diderol. The paper describes the corpus used, the first stage of data extraction, i.e. collocation extraction, as well as the specifications of the web interface allowing users to query data.
