    Una aproximación al análisis de la fotografía deportiva en prensa: El Fútbol.

    El objetivo de este estudio es analizar el tratamiento gráfico de la información deportiva y más concretamente el fútbol. Para ello se han realizado diversos análisis de tipo cuantitativo que se han plasmado en gráficos sobre la relación del texto escrito y fotografía.

    La hipótesis de partida era que los periódicos aumentaban su carga fotográfica los días en que publicaban los suplementos de Deportes. Los resultados del estudio evidencian que no se produce este efecto, sino que se produce un aumento de la carga publicitaria.

    Por otro lado, nos interesaba conocer como era tratada la fotografía en su contexto y el fotógrafo en particular. Los resultados no son extensivos, pero si reveladores en cuanto a los diarios estudiados. Se manifiesta una situación conservadora con pocas novedades en el tratamiento de la imagen y de la autoria de ellas.

    The object of this work is to analize graphic treatment given to sports information an in particular to football. In order to go about this we have developed various quantity tipe analisis and set them up as graphics that deal about the relationship there is between written text and fotography.

    The hipothesis we started from was that newspapers increased the ammount of fotography on the days they published their sports supplements. The results of this study prove that this not occur. What happens instead is that the ammount of publicity increases.

    On the other hand we were interested in knowing how fotography, and in particular tha fotographer himself, are treated in their own context. The results are not extensive although they are revealing as far as the daily newspapers we have studied go.

    The situacion appears to be quite conservative and very few novelties show up regarding the treatment of these pictures and their authors.
