La historia de la ciencia en el aula: una propuesta didáctica

    Este artículo pretende poner de manifiesto la importancia que debería tener la historia de la ciencia en las programaciones tanto de la Educación Secundaria Obligatoria, como del Bachillerato. En primer lugar se analizan los objetivos de Biología y Geología, donde puede verse la intención de desarrollar capacidades que implican el trabajo con este tipo de contenidos. Posteriormente se reflexiona sobre la conveniencia de su tratamiento en el aula. La forma en cómo se construye el conocimiento científico nos sirve para mostrar al alumnado las dificultades en dicha construcción y para comprender que a dicho conocimiento no se ha llegado simplemente por acumulación de experiencias exitosas, ni por la ctividad de unas pocas personas. Por último, se presenta un material de aula como modelo de trabajo en torno a la historia de la ciencia. En él se recogen las actividades para trabajra un aspecto y un momento concretos de la circulación sanguínea.

    This article wants to point out the importance that science history should have in the syllabus for both Compulsary Secondary Education ("O" Levels) and Bachillerato ("A" Levels). In the first place we analize the objectives of Biology and Geology and through them we intend to develop capacities that involve some work with this type of contents. Secondly we reflect on the convenience of its developmnet in the classroom. The way in wich scientific knowlwdge is built up is used to show the pupils the difficulties in that build-up process and to make them understand that the previously mentioned process has not been achieved simply by the accumulation of successful experiences or by the activity of just a few people. Finally we present classroom material as an example of work of science history. It shows activities to work on an aspect and a particular moment in the study of the circulation of the blood.
