The objective of this paper is to develop a model to estimate traffic accidents at the level of basic geo-statistical areas (ageb) in Ciudad Juarez, Chih. Generation and attraction of trips variables were used with a Geographically Weighted Poisson Regression (GWPR). The GWPR model results show a better fit than the global model. Traffic accidents in Ciudad Juarez indicate the non-stationary state in the relationships between the number of traffic accident and independent variables. With the use of this technique, it is possible to identify intra-urban areas with greater effects on estimates of traffic accidents. Finally, the contributions of this work to issues such as transport planning, urban planning and road-urban security.
