To evaluate the nutritive value of integral Gliricidia sepium meal, as a protein source in growing pigs was made on a study the Betancourt island, Departament Fernández Feo of Tachira State, with and average precipitation of 2.750 mm and 26.1 °C and located at 276 m.a.s.l., 30 pigs were divided in to 5 groups of 6 pigs each, with a average body weight: 18.33, 18.05, 19.81 and 17.83 kg respectively; with a completely ramdomized design. The treataments were: group I (Control) (0 %), group II (10 %), group III (20 %), group IV (30 %) and group V (40 %) integral Gliricidia sepium meal, respectively. Groups IV and V had lesser weight gain than group I (P < .05); and no differences of group II and III with group I. It is concluded that Gliricidia sepium may be used in pig feeding up 20 % level.
