  • Two experiments were performed with the purpose of determining the digestibility of 150 day old sweetpotato foliage (Ipomoea batatas (L.) Lam.), of seven cultivars. The first one was done on 8 ileorectomized pigs weighing 35 kg on an 8 x 8 Latin square treatment In each period three days were for adaptation to the diet and two for ileal digesta sampling. In the second experiment seven intact pigs weighing 30 kg BW, having the same characteristics as those in the first experiment were used. Each phase consisted of a five day adaptation period and a five day digesta sampling period. The apparent Ileal digestibility of the protein differed among cultivars (P
