  • Resumen
    • This contribution on Historic Landscapes of Production in Cuba (HLPC) addresses territory in its complexity as land-matter, domain-law, social-place and space-production. In a space-time context warehouse of time, in which architectures, machines, social groups and mentalities were inserted and institutionalized in a particular demarcation that, over time, takes a historical-cultural resonance that crystallizes in perceived landscape: in our case, we define this as Historical Landscapes of Production. These landscapes are characterized by their morphogenesis, the value of primary resources located therein, their planning and control logic, its potential as matrix for connectivity and mobility, its infrastructure and the functionality of economic processes developed in them. The patrimonialization of the circumstances and their dynamic and ever renewed production, social and symbolic relations express the mechanisms of production and reproduction of space (rural or urban), and the conversion to semiosphere territorialised/de-territorialised/reterritorialized, of the old geographical space.
